Netflix has released a new trailer for its "Lost In Space" reboot, which introduces the space family Robinson's new robot - and explores their alien environment. Check it out above!
Like the iconic 1960s TV show of the same name, Netflix's "Lost In Space" will chronicle the adventures of the Robinsons, a family of astronauts that gets marooned on an alien planet while traveling to a colony in the Alpha Centauri system.
The Robinsons include scientist-mom Maureen (Molly Parker), dad John (Toby Stephens), daughters Judy (Taylor Russell) and Penny (Mina Sundwall) and son Will (Max Jenkins), with Ignacio Serricchio as Don West, pilot of the family's Jupiter 2 spaceship. Parker Posey plays the rogueish stowaway Dr. Smith.
The "Lost In Space" trailer offers a new take on one of the series' most recognizable characters: Robot. In the trailer, it looks like young Will discovers the Robot as "a new form of life" on the planet the Robinsons are stuck on. In the original Irwin Allen TV show, the Robot was part of the Jupiter 2 crew. They still have the same catchphrase, though: "Danger, Will Robinson!"
"Lost in Space" premieres April 13 on Netflix.
