For fans of Star Wars, we think Disney+ is the best streaming service around, and it has an incredible library of Star Wars content to satisfy any fan of the iconic franchise.

Disney+ is currently offering one of the best streaming deals we've seen, and right now, new subscribers and eligible returning subscribers can grab Disney+ for just £3.99 a month for the first three months on this UK-only deal.

To entice us even more, Disney+ has a load of new content to back up the extensive Star Wars library, including Maul – Shadow Lord (the coolest character in all of Star Wars if you ask me), scheduled to premiere on the streaming service on April 6th, with new animated episodes being released each week until Star Wars Day on May 4th.

Watch On

Along with Maul — Shadow Lord, new releases from the Star Wars universe include Ashoka season two, Star Wars: Visions Presents – The Ninth Jedi (and potentially a couple of other releases), all scheduled to stream on Disney+ in 2026.

Star Wars is not the only sci-fi offering, and for fans of the Marvel franchise, Disney+ has just launched Wonder Man on January 27. Season two of the excellent Daredevil: Born Again is coming on March 4. Following later in the year (air dates TBC) will be VisionQuest and season two of the animated series X-Men '97.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day will be released in cinemas on July 31, which will stream on Disney+ a few months later. Following that comes Avengers: Doomsday, landing on the big screen on December 18. Expect to see it streaming in early 2027.

I've highlighted the most cost-effective way to make the most of this Disney+ deal, but there are bigger savings to be had in the UK, ad-free version of Standard (usually £9.99, now £6.99) and Premium (usually £14.99, now £9.99) subscriptions, which give a reduced price for three months.

Standard runs at a 1080 resolution with up to two streams running simultaneously, while the Premium option lets you watch in 4K and HDR, with up to four streams.

Sadly, there are no deals for US viewers; it seems Disney+ is being a bit stingy when it comes to a streaming deal. However, you can get one month of Disney+ for $9.99, before it reverts to the $12.99 pricing. A small saving if you're interested in seeing what Disney+ has to offer.

Key features: A vast library of Star Wars content, including new releases like Maul - Shadow Lord. Also included are the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe, complete Alien, Predator and Avatar franchises, Transformers movies, The Walking Dead, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Firefly, Futurama, The Strain, and much more. You can cancel your monthly subscription at any time.

Price history: Offers come up occasionally for Disney Plus in the UK, the current 33% deal is the best one we've seen since this time last year.
