ESA/Rosetta/NAVCAM

ESA's Rosetta spacecraft took a full-frame NAVCAM image of comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko on August 6, 2014, from a distance of about 60 miles (96 km.).

Comet 67P from 90 Miles

ESA/Rosetta/NAVCAM

ESA's Rosetta spacecraft took a full-frame NAVCAM image of comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko on August 5, 2014, from a distance of about 90 miles (145 km.).

Comet 67P Close-Up

Rosetta spacecraft's OSIRIS narrow-angle camera obtained this close-up detail of a smooth region on the "base" of the "body" section of comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko on August 6, 2014. Read the full story.

Comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko on Aug. 4: Rosetta

ESA/Rosetta/NAVCAM

The Comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko is seen by the European Space Agency's Rosetta spacecraft on Aug. 4, 2014, just two days before the probe's arrival at the comet on Aug. 6, ending a 10-year and 4 billion-mile journey across space. Rosetta captured this photo with its Navcam imager. Read the Full Story Here.
