Telescopes to Tanzania – a Pathway to Science | Video
Chuck & Sue Ruehle, w/ Mponda Malozo, are engaging young learners in rural Tanzania to pursue science, math and geography by giving them direct personal access to the universe: Telescopes to Tanzania
Without funds for the instruments of science, most Tanzanian schools teach only theory, the learners mostly confined to memorization from the classroom seats. Telescopes bring instructors and learners together, hands-on in the engagement of astronomy which leads to questions about biology, chemistry, geology, and physics.
This three minute video provides an introduction to the work of Telescopes to Tanzania and calls for your assistance to help build the first hands-on science center in Tanzania. A total of $14,000 is needed by the first of June, when development of the center begins.
