Brainiac Cast for SyFy's 'Krypton'

Da Vinci's Demons actor Blake Ritson has been cast as Brainiac in SyFy's "Krypton," according to Deadline.

Brainiac is one of Superman's oldest enemies, and Deadline reports that he'll also be a villain in the series, set in Krypton's past. Ritson is described as a series regular.

Additionally, "Ray Donovan" actress Paula Malcomson will take the guest role of Charys, the matriarch of the House of El and mother of Seg-El, Krypton's lead. The role has been recast from the pilot.

"Krypton" will premiere in 2018.
