Tropical Storm Harvey Viewed from Space
Tuesday, August 29, 2017: As tropical storm Harvey continues to pour heavy rain on southeast Texas, astronauts aboard the International Space Station have been watching the storm from 250 miles (400 kilometers) above the Earth. NASA astronaut Randy Bresnik tweeted this photo taken through the Cupola window Monday night (Aug. 28). "This massive storm covers much of the horizon from up here," Bresnik wrote. — Hanneke Weitering

Saturn's 'Blowhole' Spotted by Cassini
Thursday, August 31, 2017: NASA's Cassini spacecraft captured this close-up of the weird vortex spinning at Saturn's north pole as the mission kicked off its "Grand Finale" on April 26.
