Note to Readers: Changes to Community

This week you'll find new and improved Community tools that allow you to stay up to date with the most compelling conversations on

Among the improvements:

  • The new Community Hub Page allows you to see our most commented articles, the newest forum discussions, the most active members.
  • Commenting on Articles now has threaded conversations.
  • You can now send Private Messages to your friends within the Community.

As a returning user to the Community, if you frequent other sites in the Imaginova network (LiveScience and Newsarama) you will need to log in separately to each site, a departure from the current single-sign-on process.  You have an account on each of the sites, and have the same username and password throughout.

Unfortunately the changes created some database problems that we're still working out. If you're having any difficulties logging in or managing your Community account, see the forums below or contact us at We appreciate your patience as we iron out the glitches.

Meanwhile, we greatly appreciate your ongoing patience and support as we continue to work to improve the sites.

Editorial Director, Imaginova
