Professor of Astronomy, University of Arizona

I am a Professor of Astronomy at the University of Arizona and an Astronomer at Steward Observatory. I am an astrophysicist who has worked in instrumentation, mainly in the near infrared, have worked as an observer, again in near infrared spectroscopy and am currently doing theoretical work in cosmology, dark energy and fundamental constants. Most relevant to my proposed submission I led the instrument definition team, Principal Investigator, for the first Hubble Space Telescope infrared instrument, the Near Infrared Camera and Multi-Object spectrometer, NICMOS.
