Jordan grew up in Washington, D.C., and earned a BS in physics from USC (2019), followed by a PhD in geology from UCLA (2023). In her free time, she boxed, learned to scuba dive, and earned a private pilot license. Her dissertation included a study supporting Curiosity's mission operations, field work in a variety of extreme environments on Earth to better understand Mars, and a wind tunnel investigation to explore wind-driven transport of sand from Venus to Pluto. She recently completed a postdoctoral position at NASA Marshall Space Flight Center, and is now in a new postdoctoral role at Georgia Tech, continuing her work in extreme environments and contributing to technology development for future missions to the Moon and Mars.
