The location of the Hubble Ultra Deep Field (HUDF) as seen from the mid-northern latitudes on Earth at about 7 p.m. Located in the constellation Fornax, the HUDF's location can be found more easily further south of the mid-northern latitude though the patch of sky appears empty to ground observers. Backyard astronomers living above 45 degrees latitude will have a tough time spotting Fornax. CREDIT: SPACE.com Graphic/Made with Starry Night software. Click to enlarge.
