ASTER Images of Our Earth
Andes Mountains
Showing a 37-by-37-mile (60-by-60-kilometer) swath of the Chile-Bolivia border, this image has been computer enhanced to exaggerate the color differences of the areas of lava flow. The upper right two-thirds of the scene is dominated by the Pampa Luxsar lava complex. At the middle left edge of the image are the Olca and Paruma stratovolcanoes.
