Postcards from Venus
Ominous Beauty
The “Postcards from Venus” contest was created by the Planetary Society. The Venus Express Art Contest theme invited contest entrants to imagine the surface of Venus from an above-ground perspective, a bird's eye-view of the mysterious world." This artwork, submitted by Tatianna Cwick of the U.S., age 17, won the Grand Prize in the contest. Tatianna says, "I think this captures the essence of the planet Venus, with its threatening volcanic environment and unique splendor.” Click to enlarge.
