When I was a kid I was very lucky. My dad loved the stars and wanted me to love them too. So he bought some glow in the dark stars and put the constellations on my ceiling so I could learn them at night as I fell asleep.

Glow in the dark stars are awesome, and I think every kid should have them on their ceilings. If you agree, here is a list of some of our favorites. Remember, all these glow in the dark stars require natural light to charge.

My daughter has these in her room

This pack of stars is the one I chose for my daughter's room. Not only does it come with 200 assorted stars but it also has an excellent glow in the dark moon.

The different sized stars are great, especially if you want to make constellations like Orion that has some of the stars dimmer than others. It adds depth to the scene and makes it look way cooler.

Realistic looking

Make constellations

600 glow in the dark dots is a lot to stick on, but oof do they look good when you've finished. With this many little round dots you can not only make constellations but entire swirling galaxies.

I would recommend starting the dots on the wall and working over the ceiling to really make the starry effect pop.

Sweet dreams

353 PCS Glow in Dark Stars and Moon Castle

Add a little bit of joy to the stars

This pack has a little more than just stars. It has many other factually correct stickers, such as shooting stars, cities on the Moon, and a Flying Unicorn.

It also has the words "Sweet Dreams" to really make your child's room a place of wonder.

Cartoony fun

There are astronauts!

This another fun set of stars with more than just stars in. Let your bedroom swirl with stars, planets, and astronauts. There even rocket ships and little green men to really add to the quirky nature of this set.

It even has shooting stars

If you are hoping to educate your child while they enjoy the night sky then this planet set may be for you. It supplies you with all the planets in our solar system, shooting stars of varying sizes as well as normal pointy stars to fill in the sky.

Just don't try and lay the planets out to scale, most of them will be in other towns!

Design your own

Glow tape with stars

Glow in The Dark Tape

Practical and enjoyable

While this pack does come with glow in the dark stars and dots, the coolest thing is the actual tape. With tape that glows you can create cool experiences in your child's room, not limited to the stars. You could make an entrance to a rocket ship, or their name writ large among the stars! The possibilities are endless.

Glow it up!

These glow in the dark stars are so cheap, and such an easy way to make your child's night time a little more fun. My daughter loves her Ultra Glow in the Dark Stars from Kangaroo so much she asks for them to shine in the day time. I have to remember to open her curtains so they charge during the day but they always look amazing when I do.

If you are hoping to add a little more education to your child's room you can use the glow in the dark planets set to show them the planets and their relative sizes, while sprinkling the joy of stars into their world.

Another favorite of mine is the glow in the dark tape. It's supposed to be to help you see where you are going in case of a blackout, but come on, it's even better to write my kid's name on her bedroom wall.
