Spacewatch Friday: Full Moon Names: Harvest, Hunter, Wolf and Sturgeon?

Amid the zero cold and deep snows of midwinter, wolf packs howled hungrily outside Native American villages. It was also known as the Old Moon or the Moon After Yule.

For some tribes this was the Full Snow Moon; as already noted, a name more often applied to the February moon.
