Total Lunar Eclipse
May 4, 2004

Best seen from the Eastern Hemisphere. Portions of the event will be visible from parts of eastern Europe. None of it will be visible from the United States or Canada. Details are in our Full Moon Fever special report.


Partial Solar Eclipse
Oct. 13, 2004

A large partial solar eclipse will take over western Alaska, again at sunset. Near the town of Kenai (southwest of Anchorage), nearly 93 percent of the Sun will be eclipsed.


Total Lunar Eclipse
Oct. 28, 2004

Visible from all of North and South America. Part of the event will be visible from most of Europe and Africa. Details will be provided in October, 2004 in our Full Moon Fever special report.
