WASHINGTON — Northrop Grumman Corp. is donating $1 million to help victims of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks in the United States as well as rescue workers who responded to the tragedies, according to a Sept. 18 statement from the Los Angeles aerospace company.

The money is coming from Northrop Grumman itself and from a philanthropic foundation the company supports. Part of the company’s contribution involves Northrop Grumman matching donations from employees, officials said.
