Thieves Steal Darth Vader's Lightsaber
Darth Vader's lightsaber has been stolen, according to an article on the MegaStar, the online edition of the British tabloid the Daily Star.
The lightsaber was in the home of David Prowse, the actor who played Darth Vader in the original Star Wars series (with James Earl Jones lending his voice). Prowse was on a publicity trip in the U.S. when thieves broke into his house in south London, according to the MegaStar.
In addition to the lightsaber, the thieves stole Prowse's stereo, TV, cameras, watches, jewelry, and his Mercedes.
Although Prowse said he was sad to lose the lightsaber, he was evidently more upset about the jewelry, which included a bracelet he gave to his wife Norma more than 30 years ago, according to the MegaStar article.
