Claudia Black portrays Aeryn Sun, a front-line soldier in the Peacekeeper Corps who becomes a reluctant participant in the flight of a prisoner ship on television series Farscape.
She's a grunt and proud of it, part of the elite Pleisar Regiment. Born to be a warrior and sublimate her feelings, Aeryn is intensely proud of the fact that she can hold her own among any of her fellow soldier, male or female, and having to rely on the motley group of non-Peacekeepers aboard the Moya is anathema to her instincts and training. Still, as time goes on, her interactions -- particularly with Crichton -- will lead her to an awareness and compassion that she's never known before.
Claudia Black was a finalist in the 1990 Globe Shakespeare competition. Other than acting, her talents include singing both jazz and classical music.
