What's a Lexx? A planet-killing weapon the size of Manhattan, with the wings of a dragonfly and the voice of a beautiful woman.
Lexx is the starship that takes the humanoid cast of the eponymous television series around the universe as they wander in search of a home. Its eyes can fire energy beams of such deadly intensity that it can destroy entire planets. It is so big that passengers have to fly around inside it on symbiotic helicopter-sized insects.
Like Moya, the living starship of Farscape, Lexx talks to the people who live inside it, communicating its vague thoughts and desires.
In an absurd development, the massive organism considers itself the child of the otherwise incompetent Stanley Tweedle, the only human it obeys. This gives Stanley delusions of grandeur that his fellow misfits, Kai, Xev and 790 find tedious, yet easy enough to outmaneuver.
The ship was bred by the galactic despot His Galactic Shadow, master of 20,000 planets, out of an enzyme stolen from Stanley, who was trying desperately to get it to his contacts in the resistance movement.
