Stan returns to the bridge. He asks the Lexx when it will next be aimed at the planet Water.
Xev demands to know why Stan is asking about destroying Water. She doesn't believe he is merely indulging in idle curiosity.
Never ask the undead for advice
In the birthing chamber, Stan asks Kai if it would be wrong to kill "a relatively large few" people to save one special someone. Kai observes that May must be very special to him, but Stan insists that his question was purely hypothetical.
Stan notes that the newly constructed moths are almost complete. He asks how long Kai plans to be on Water. Kai tells him he will be there long enough to stock up on food for the
Lexx. Kai leads a flight of moths - piloted by moth breeders - to the surface.
Fifi, Kai, ho hum
The happy souls of Gametown play a sport that seems to combine elements of basketball, volleyball and soccer. Most of them play for enjoyment, but Fifi overcompensating for the fact he isn't very good plays aggressively.
The game stops abruptly when they see the moths approaching. The players grab bows and take up position on the walls. Kai waves. The players allow him to land, and Fifi welcomes Kai to Gametown.
Kai observes that Fifi resembles someone who lived 4,000 years ago. Hes right - actor Jeff Pustil played Schlemmi in the second-season episode "
Luvliner".
Saved by the Bellringer
Stan tries to tell May how special he thinks she is. Despite his romantic ineptitude, May apparently reciprocates his devotion.
Stan is relieved. May's feelings for him make it easier for him "to do what I have to do."
Xev overhears the entire conversation.
The moth breeders load the moths with baskets of food. Fifi asks Kai about the breeders and the ships.
Kai foolishly explains that the breeders respond to any verbal commands given to them. He also tells Fifi and would anyone care to bet that he won't make use of this information? just how easy it is to fly the moths.
The Lexx reaches optimal firing range. Xev tries to stop Stan from firing.
Stan gets out the order, but the command comes too late. The Lexx has tumbled out of alignment with the planet, and the blast misses its mark.
Xev demands an explanation, and reminds Stan that Kai was on Water. At Xev's insistence, Stan confesses to the deal he entered with Prince.
Xev insists that Stan only dreamed the encounter. Real or not, Stan laments, May is dead just the same.
Not so, says
790. He tells them that May is on the edge of death, and that "she may recover, or she may die."
PorKai's
Kai stands idly in the middle of the court while the Gametowners play their game. Fifi urges him to participate.
Kai uses his brace to grab the ball, and then fires it into the goal.
Prince appears to Xev. He tells her to "Let Stanley do what he must do."
He kisses Xev. When she opens her eyes, she is alone.
Prince then appears to Stan. He offers him one more chance to destroy Water and save May.
Xev arrives. Neither Xev nor Stan tells the other about their conversation with Prince.
With Kai's help, his team wins the game.
Everyone heads for the showers, but Fifi stays behind. Is he hygienically challenged or is this Suspicious Behavior?
As the players shower, Kai stands nearby and communicates with the Lexx. One of the players, Bunny, drops her soap and asks Kai to pick it up.
Kai scrubs her back. His squawker is active, so their entire exchange including Bunny's announcement, "I'm dirty. Very dirty." is broadcast to the Lexx, complete with enthusiastic moaning.
Xev and 790 compete to do the most outrageous double take at overhearing this encounter.
Note: for those readers who keep track of such matters, the, shall we say, anatomically correct aspects of this scene have been blurred. Thus, SCI FI conforms to U.S. broadcast standards while reassuring their audience that naked women have as Frank Zappa once put it "mammalian protuberances."
Xev points out that Stan didn't seem very interested by the notion of naked, showering women. Stan explains, "I'm just hungry, and it distracts me, that's all."
The award for inventive use of cleavage
One of the players tells Kai that Fifi just doesn't fit into life in Gametown. Kai tells him, "I suspect Fifi may have just solved your problem."
They look to the sky and watch Fifi lead the moth squadron away from Gametown.
As Stan tends to May, Xev asks him whether he's had any more dreams. Stan lies, telling Xev she was right to stop him from destroying Water.
Xev goes to bed. There, Prince appears to her again.
She tells him she can't let Stan destroy Water. Prince tries to convince her that the deaths of the people on Water don't really matter.
The Lexx closes in on Water.
Xev goes into a tuck and rolls to the bridge. As Stan starts giving the order to fire, Xev tackles him and look, there's really no delicate way to put this uses her breasts to muzzle Stan.
She holds him there until the Lexx moves out of firing range. Stan is so infatuated with May that he doesnt even enjoy an experience he must have fantasized about throughout the
first two seasons of Lexx.
When she lets him up, though, Stan realizes Xev was right to stop him.
This May stings a little
Stan and Xev check on May. She chastises Stan for failing to destroy Water.
Stan notices that May's wound has healed. She tells him that she was never wounded.
Prince arrives. He tells them, "I do not like the choice you made, Xev. But it was the right choice. I like your choice, Stanley. It is the choice I would have made. The wrong choice."
Prince and May kiss. Prince tells Stan that he will soon receive a reward, "one that you deserve."
Prince and May steal a moth. As it lifts off, May jeers, "You are the one, Stanley Tweedle. You are the one!"
Stan calls down to Gametown. Kai tells him he is stranded, "as I am no longer in possession of the moths."
On Fire, guards with flaming crossbows circle Fifi. He offers their leader Duke the moths and his insider knowledge of Water's defensive plans.
Duke smiles.
