QUOTABLE MOMENTS: Toto Never Talked Like This

Xev is understandably horrified by the news, and the crew meets to discuss her situation.

Kai asks whether 790 can alter Xev's expiration date. The robot admits that he could do so if he had access to a Lustikon, the machine responsible for love slave transformations.

Lexx World

Unfortunately, the Lustikon was destroyed when the Lexx blew up the Cluster. 790 conveniently recalls that a prototype Lustikon was shipped to the planet Woz.

After ensuring that they can make the trip in less than 79 hours, Lexx sets course for Woz.

They fell from a star

Tornadoes drift over the landscape under the yellow skies of Woz. Inside her tower, the Dark Lady -- shrouded from head to toe in black, with only her eyes visible -- and her beautiful minions watch as the Lustikon transforms a woman in to a love slave.

Lexx arrives at Woz, and the crew flies down to the surface in a moth. They pass through a tornado, and hear a squishy sound as the ship touches down.

The Dark Lady observes their arrival through her crystal ball. She seems taken with Xev.

They examine the landing site. Several women watch them from the ruins around their landing zone.

The moth has landed on someone. A pair of feet sticks out from under the ship.

"She appears to be dead," observes Kai.

In her tower, the Dark Lady asks herself, "I wonder what he's up to now."

If ever oh ever a Wuz there was

The crew makes their way to a nearby castle. A recorded voice greets them at the gate, telling them, "Welcome, brightness seekers."

A guide leads them inside and introduces them to a small group of women. The women all smile when they learn that Xev is a love slave.

The Wuzzard enters. He asks Stan, "Why did you crush our beloved sister with your bug?"

Kai assures him it was an accident. The Wuzzard accepts Kai at his word, and explains that he suspected that the Dark Lady -- the evil destroyer of women -- was behind the attack.

Xev tells the Wuzzard that she is approaching her expiry date. He assures them that he can help, and offers to use his own handmade Lustikon to reset her clock.

The Wuzzard straps Xev into his Lustikon. Before beginning the process, he politely demands that Stan and Kai complete the mission assigned to the woman they crushed.

Bring me the broomstick

He tells Stan and Kai that they must find their way into the Dark Lady's tower, destroy her Lustikon and kill the Dark Lady.

Kai asks whether 790 can operate the Wuzzard's Lustikon.

The robot tells him that the machine is missing a necessary component, and Xev has only three hours left. They have to rely on the Wuzzard.

Kai threatens the Wuzzard with his brace, but the Wuzzard tells Kai to "Deliver me to the Brightness." He assures Kai that the mission is necessary.

Moreover, he explains, the Lustikon fell into the Dark Lady's hands after the collapse of the Divine Order. He claims she uses it "to transform the beautiful, natural bodies of women into clichéd male-driven images of desirability" -- apparently turning women into "ridiculous aberrations" with a seven-day expiry cycle to sell on the sex slave market.

He backs up this assertion by showing them a recording of a love slave who laments her association with the Dark Lady.

The Wuzzard again offers Xev's life in exchange for the Dark Lady's death. Stan and Kai consider the offer, and 790 tells them to act before it is too late.

Faced with no other options, they agree.

I'd turn back if I were you

Stan and Kai make their way toward the Dark Lady's tower. They discuss the prospect of taking a life.

The Wuzzard's assistants prepare the Lustikon. The Wuzzard tells Xev that she will soon be able to put "the sick male need for penetration" behind her.

Xev assures him her life as a love slave hasn't been that bad.

The Wuzzard activates the Lustikon. Xev becomes suffused with its energy.

Stan and Kai arrive at the energy barrier surrounding the Dark Lady's fortress. Kai walks into a section of the barrier, and his undead body absorbs the energy, shorting out the section.

Kai and Stan pass through the breach as alarms begin sounding.

Ding Dong

The Wuzzard tells Xev, "I have a surprise for you. I've unlocked your inner beauty."

He shows Xev her reflection. To her horror, she has been transformed back into woman she was before her first Lustikon treatment.

There's more bad news: he cannot readjust her clock. He tells her to take solace in the fact that she can now spend her last hours as the person she really is.

He leaves Xev strapped to the Lustikon while he prepares to pay the Dark Lady a visit. His aides help him put on a harness carrying a number of red tubes.

"Tonight, we become agents of Light," the Wuzzard proclaims. "We become beacons of truth! We will make the ultimate sacrifice and illuminate the darkness forever and for all time! The wicked bitch is dead!"

Meanwhile, Stan and Kai arrive at the Dark Lady's gate.

An image of the Dark Lady demands to know their business. Kai admits that they are there on the Wuzzard's orders to kill her.

The gates remain closed. Kai grabs Stan, fires his brace at an exposed pipe, and hauls them into the tower.

Cuter than flying monkeys

The Dark Lady orders two of her minions to find and capture Stan and Kai.

Xev is forced to watch a crudely produced explanation of the Wuzzard's "Woman Body Truth," that advocates a liberation from men.

Stan and Kai search the tower. They encounter a pair of guards.

The guards fire at Kai, but their weapons have no effect. He gently disarms them.

Kai continues his search while Stan stands guard over the guards they captured. He forces them to keep their distance, but they still try to seduce Stan.

They succeed in distracting him, allowing two other guards to get the drop on him.

In the corridor, two more guards attempt to subdue Kai. He shrugs off their weapon fire and continues on his mission.

The Wuzzard and his team find the breach Kai made in the Dark Lady's barrier. They pass through into the Dark Lady's domain.

The guards hold Stan at gunpoint. He tries to talk his way out of trouble.

They order him to strip, and Stan begins to comply.

Where troubles melt like lemon drops

The Wuzzard's team begins an assault on the gates. The tower's defense system disintegrates several of them before the gates fall. They rush into the castle.

Stan is down to his boxers. Before he can remove them, two of the Wuzzard's aides rush in, aiming weapons at the guards.

They demand to know why the guards are willing to use their seven days of life in the Dark Lady's service. The guards tell them that they have been in the tower for months.

Stan gets dressed while the women spout the clichés taught to them by their respective masters. Suddenly, everyone fires at once.

Stan is left standing alone in the middle of a room surrounded by several smoking scorch marks on the floor.

 Horse of a different color

The Dark Lady is preparing to escape the tower when Kai arrives. She fires at him, to no effect. He tells her that he has come to kill her.

Before doing so, he asks her to remove the shroud covering her face. She refuses, promising him that she is "a monster to behold."

She tells him that the Lustikon was unable to alter her deformity.

The Dark Lady begs for her life. The Wuzzard arrives and tells Kai he will take over, saying that the isotopic devices on his harness are powerful enough to destroy the tower.

Kai tells the Dark Lady that he will not kill her. The Wuzzard tells Kai that she is pure evil, and accuses her of victimizing young girls.

She insists that she gives beauty to those who come to her voluntarily.

The Dark Lady removes her veil -- her looks are unremarkable, but certainly not hideous. She tells them that she is beautiful on the inside.

The Wuzzard accuses her of stealing the love of his life. The Dark Lady charges him with preying on the psyches of insecure women.

Stan escapes from the tower.

790 weeps as Xev's life force drains away.

How about a little fire, Scarecrow?

The Wuzzard chants, "Breathe in for the sisters. Breathe out for the brothers."

Kai removes a component from the Lustikon and runs out of the chamber.

The Wuzzard's chanting becomes increasingly hysterical. The Dark Lady tells him, "You are a deeply, deeply stupid man," but this only induces him to trigger his isotopic device.

Kai escapes the tower just ahead of the blast.

All together now: There's no place like home

Kai and Stan return to the Wuzzard's keep with the Lustikon component. Once it is installed, 790 restores Xev to her usual form.

790 also resets Xev's expiration date. She has 79 years of life ahead of her.

Xev kisses 790 and Kai to thank them for helping her. Stan leans in for a kiss, but all he gets is a friendly pat on the cheek.

They return to Lexx, and Xev tells 790, "There's no place like home."

Lexx breaks orbit. In its wake, a cloud of Mantrid arms engulfs Woz.
