MORE SPOILERS (for next page)

Upon arrival, Stan observes that the station is "not exactly as advertised," and Schlemmi, the manager, transmits a half-hearted spiel extolling Luvliner's capacity for vice.

Stan requests permission to come down and check out the station's adults-only action, but negotiations break down when Schlemmi demands cash on the barrelhead. He rejects Stan's offer of trade, repeatedly insults Stan and breaks the connection.

Xev tells Stan how she dealt with a similar situation and recommends giving Schlemmi "a little demo." Warming to the idea, Stan orders the Lexx to destroy a nearby moon.

Getting into the holiday spirit

Faced with the planet-pulverizing power Stan commands, Schlemmi suddenly "remembers" that it is "Bob's Comet Day" and offers the crew a free pass. Stan, Xev and 790 take a Moth over to the station.

The staff and patrons of seedy Luvliner are a far cry from the idealized human specimens in the ad. A dissatisfied customer demands his money back from Schlemmi, who instead electrocutes the troublemaker.

His tone changes when sees the crew, and he appears especially impressed by 790. When he asks whether Stan, Xev and 790 are the entire crew, Stan tells him that they left Kai aboard the ship because assassins "don't like fun."

Turning to business, the manager gives them keys to their rooms. Proving he's not a complete fool, Stan tells Schlemmi he "instructed our spaceship to blow this place to smithereens if we're not back on board in two hours."

Love shack

Xev brings a protesting 790 to his room and leaves him there. Stan and Xev both discover that their rooms have seen better days.

Xev activates a love machine that asks her to identify her preferences so "the most appropriate candidates will be presented to you." She decides that she wants muscles, and the machine offers her options accordingly.

At first, Stan's machine only offers him one choice that is clearly not to his liking. The next choice displayed is a man.

790 tells his machine that he only wants Xev, but his machine only displays a selection of household appliances.

Crime, awkwardness, forbidden love

Meanwhile, Schlemmi contacts a man named Aulk and tells him about the Lexx and its crew. Seeing the ship as an opportunity for a big score, Schlemmi offers his potential accomplice a piece of the action. Aulk agrees to accept a 90 percent share of the take.

Xev chooses a man named Vartan to be her dish of the day. Finally offered a second woman, Stan reluctantly chooses her.

Vartan arrives. When Xev confesses her virginity, he seems embarrassed.

Stan's selection arrives. When she proves less buxom than he hoped, he tries to send her away, but only ends up insulting her repeatedly. Undeterred, she demonstrates other assets.

Schlemmi enters 790's room, picks him up and tells him, "I've been waiting an eternity for someone like you."

790 screams.

While Vartan professes his love for Xev, Schlemmi puts 790 on a pedestal. He removes his robe, revealing a strange outfit and a bubble-light codpiece. He tells the robot he is tired of "flesh on parade."

Putting on a pair of lighted goggles with an attached mouthpiece, Schlemmi slips on a fuzzy VR glove, and announces, "You're my kind of fun now." He picks up 790 and gives him a big sloppy kiss.

At least 790 is better off

Aulk arrives. He enters Stan's room, disintegrates Stan's date and kidnaps Stan. He finds Schlemmi in 790's room. Chagrined at Aulk and Stan's disgust, Schlemmi explains that he likes new experiences.

The awkward moment over, Aulk breaks into Xev's room and disintegrates Vartan. He prepares to kill Xev, but relents when Schlemmi tells him she is a virgin.

On a distant planet, four men sit around a gambling table. Schlemmi calls to insult them and announce his resignation. He tells Stan to open fire on the station. When Stan hesitates, Schlemmi threatens Xev. Under Stan's orders, the Lexx destroys Luvliner.

Schlemmi then tells Stan to set course for Oneida 19, "So I can deliver my resignation in person."

Aulk, who is familiar with the reputations of both the Lexx and its resident assassin, hauls Kai's cryogenic chamber onto the bridge. He and Schlemmi decide to get rid of Kai before he wakes up and kills them.

Aulk sends Schlemmi out in a Moth and tells him to fire Kai's pod into a nearby sun. Once released, the pod begins tumbling toward the star.

Get a really nasty villain

With the ship cruising toward Oneida 19, Aulk turns his attention to Xev, promising her "your first, your best and your last." Meanwhile, Schlemmi decides to rekindle his relationship with 790.

In space, Kai begins to stir.

Xev fends off Aulk's assault when her cluster lizard side asserts itself. She starts to pay him back for hurting her friends and killing her date.

During the fight, Stan orders the Lexx to retrieve Kai's pod.

Schlemmi aims a weapon at Xev, shocking her while waiting for Aulk to recover.

Stan orders the Lexx to bank, throwing everyone off balance. Aulk recovers first and pushes Xev into an open shaft at the edge of the bridge. She hangs on to an outcropping as Aulk tries to knock her off into the abyss.

Stan's brief moment of competence

Schlemmi orders Stan to reverse course. Stan instead orders the ship to get Kai's pod. Schlemmi has picked up a taste for shocking people, so he shocks Stan.

Coming awake, Kai opens his pod and fires his brace at the rapidly approaching Lexx.

Aulk knocks Xev loose, but Kai fires his brace from above and catches her. He pulls her up to the bridge, where she attacks Aulk and sends him falling to his death down the shaft.

With the tide turned against him, Schlemmi claims he was Aulk's puppet. Now free of that malign influence, he promises to "devote myself to the charitable work that I've always aspired to."

His performance fails to convince the Lexx crew, who have told less believable lies themselves on numerous occasions.

Kai goes back into his pod. Stan and Xev admit they both still have needs. She tells Stan what she's looking for in a man: "He needs to be tall, handsome and dead" -- i.e. nobody but Kai will do.

As Schlemmi's former bosses replay his resignation message, a pod containing the brothel manager crashes through their ceiling. The bosses laugh, contemplating payback of their own.
