"Wow, I hadn't thought about
that," says Crichton. "Talyn might not want to give us his cannon, right?"
"Peacekeepers never give
up their weapons, "Aeryn says. After Crichton agrees with this point, she
continues, "But it's in his best interest, so we should let Crais do it."
Crichton, Stark, and Zhaan
all agree with Aeryn's excellent point.
In the interrogation chamber,
the Plovakians interrupt to inquire if everybody was really so agreeable.
Zhaan concedes that D'Argo objected and lost his temper.
I respectfully object
In the flashback, D'Argo
tells Crichton he will not be a party to this. He's worried that Crais
is lying.
"If this is a trick," he
tells Crais. "I'll break your neck."
"I just want to help Talyn,"
Crais says. He says he guides Talyn, and that "it's been hard to convince
Talyn that the use of his weapons should only be as a last resort."
"I'll teach him to behave,"
says Aeryn.
Crichton is still skeptical,
but Zhaan supports Crais' claim that he has only fought in self defense
with the example of the Halosians.
The Plovakian vessel arrives
and Crais greets them, complimenting them for being "right on schedule."
Stark and Zhaan walk over to the scanner, with Aeryn a short distance behind
them.
Stark and Zhaan talk about
how beautiful the ship is while they're looking at the scanner.
Aeryn looks over at the weapons
console and sees that it is malfunctioning. The main gun emerges from Talyn.
Crichton rushes over to the
console to disarm the weapon, but Aeryn tells him to stay away. Interference
might set the weapon off.
Big illicit boom
The gun fires, and the Plovakian
ship is destroyed.
"The Plokavians will have
great difficulty believing this was an accident," Crais says. Zhaan is
unable to convince him to stay and explain what happened to "the authorities."
Crais produces the second
transponder, connects to Talyn, and orders the others to go. Since there
was nothing else they could do, they complied.
In the interrogation chamber,
Zhaan asks "Any more questions?"
