Andromeda, the latest series to bear the Gene Roddenberry name, represents a collaboration between the late Star Trek creator and one of Deep Space Nine’s most prolific and thoughtful writers, Robert Hewitt Wolfe.

After sneaking a peek at the Andromeda pre-production web site (using a very simple hack), SPACE.com's Don Lipper interviewed Wolfe about the new franchise in Roddenberry’s universe.

In this three-part interview Wolfe describes the series’ innovative "sci-fi verité" approach, an overview of the series technology and what it’s like to collaborate with Gene Roddenberry across time.
