Known as the "Fox Mulder" of Silicon Valley, Internet millionaire Firmage recently walked away from the corporate boardroom to focus on heterodox science and other topics of interest to the UFOlogical community.
His new research group, the International Space Sciences Organization,
went online in July, scant months after Firmage shocked the world by resigning his post as chief executive at Internet-services company U.S. Web.
Although he cautions reporters that UFOs are only a small portion of his philanthropic and scientific agenda, his interest in the 1947 Roswell event -- and in the "Majestic-12" documents that allegedly document it -- is well-known.
As keynote speaker the
1999 National UFO Conference, he recently outlined his hopes for the future, his beliefs about human nature and the truth behind UFOs, and the role science, religion and anomalous experiences will play in the next century.
