George Zebrowski has written copiously about space habitats (the classic Macrolife, its sequel Cave of Stars, and the John W George Zebrowski has written copiously about space habitats and has forgotten more of the history of science fiction than most of us will ever know. He is also a critic and editor.


Brute Orbits and the linked novels Macrolife and Cave of Stars are all set in space habitats. It seems that many of the high points of your career have explored this theme; are you likely to return there?

'Cave of Stars': A Disappointing Polemic

George Zebrowski: The "Macrolife mosaic of stories and novels" will always involve space habitats. I don't see myself returning to Brute Orbits, but it has been mentioned that this book presents another way in which mobile space habitats might have scattered throughout the galaxy. Macrolife had it another way -- through a solar system disaster.
