George
Zebrowski has written
copiously about space habitats and has forgotten more of the history
of science fiction than most of us will ever know. He is also a critic
and editor.
Brute Orbits and the
linked novels Macrolife and Cave of Stars are all set in space habitats.
It seems that many of the high points of your career have explored this
theme; are you likely to return there?
George Zebrowski:
The "Macrolife mosaic of stories and novels" will always involve space
habitats. I don't see myself returning to Brute Orbits, but it has
been mentioned that this book presents another way in which mobile space
habitats might have scattered throughout the galaxy. Macrolife had
it another way -- through a solar system disaster.
