Heart on Mars
The Red Planet gets the prize
for having the most heart of any object in the solar system. This image of a
heart was released to the public just before Valentine's Day in 2000.
The Mars Global Surveyor
image shows a relatively small heart-shaped mesa, just 279 yards (255 meters) across,
in the south polar region of Mars. Unlike another heart on Mars, which was
formed as a pit, this one stands out.
