Hubble's Variable Nebula

This variable nebula is named for Edwin P. Hubble, the same astronomer for which the Hubble Space Telescope is named. The fan-shaped cloud of gas and dust is illuminated by R Monocerotis, a bright star at the bottom of the nebula.
