The universe is a dangerous place, in the grand sense. Galaxies collide, stars explode, planets are destroyed.

Earlier this year, astronomers told of a star that's been undergoing serious outbursts. Rho Cassiopeiae may erupt again at any time, they say, and the event might be visible to backyard skywatchers.
