Postcards from Venus
The Orange Volcanoes Planet
Lowri Elin Williams of the U.K., age 8, created this composition for the competition. Lowri says: "The planet Venus is very hot because it's close to the Sun. There are lots of volcanoes on Venus, volcanic rock and lava flows. There are also huge craters on the surface and cracks. There are also some clouds. I wanted to show how hot Venus is through coloring my picture with orange and red and gray for the volcanic rock." Click to enlarge.
