Robonaut
Too many spacewalks today? Send Robonaut instead. The anthropomorphic robot is the size of an astronaut in a spacesuit. It has two arms, two five-fingered hands, a head and a torso. Spaceflight hardware on the International Space Station was designed for human servicing and will require many spacewalks. Robonaut was designed to substitute for astronauts to resolve on-orbit failures.
