Galaxy NGC 300
Located 7 million light-years away in the constellation Sculptor, this spiral galaxy is similar to our Milky Way. Binoculars reveal it as a hazy, glowing patch. In the background of the new image are 100,000 galaxies, seen only in more detailed versions of the photo. Click to enlarge.
