Astronaut Neil Armstrong - the 1st man to walk on the moon - received the NASA Ambassadors of Exploration award in 2006. The award includes a moon rock to recognize the sacrifices and dedication of the astronauts and others who were part of the Mercury, Gemini and Apollo programs.
