This image released by NASA early Friday, Oct. 9, 2009 shows a bright dot on the moon, a crater caused by the LCROSS mission to crash two probes into the lunar surface. The LCROSS Sheperding spacecraft took these near-infrared and ultraviolet/visible wavelengths as its Centaur rocket stage crashed. The bright dot at bottom is a zoom in on the crater signature.
