From maritime Canada and the northeastern United States, observers will get to see most of the Moon's pass through the Pleiades cluster if they watch for these objects to rise in the northeast at approximately 2:30 am local time on June 30th. Viewers further west will miss the occultation but will still see the Moon and the cluster rising together in the sky, which is itself a sight worth getting out of bed for.
