The U.S. Air Force would obtain the maximum benefit from using the new CentrAl aluminum-composite material if manufacturers used it to make wing and fuselage structures in new aircraft such as the C-130J Hercules. That way, the Air Force would see the maintenance and operational benefits throughout the entire life of the aircraft.
