Daylight Saving Time begins on March 11, three weeks earlier than usual this year as a result of legislation in the United States, followed by most jurisdictions in Canada. This is an unpopular decision among astronomers because it means that it gets dark an hour later, limiting evening observing. Remember to set your clocks forward by one hour. Many devices which are programmed to automatically switch between Daylight and Standard Time may not change on the correct date.
