DENVER (AP) - John Travolta is warning his fans not to expect him to be a hero in his newest movie.

"I play a pretty bad guy," Travolta told 10,000 people at a promotional gathering of science fiction fans this weekend. "Today, I take you over in a good way. On May 12, I take Denver over in a bad way."
That's when Battlefield Earth opens. Travolta plays a 9-foot-1, 543-pound alien intent on destroying Earth.
