``Make no mistake, this time she is going to fly and we are going to make history in a most spectacular way,'' said Bennett.
The self-taught inventor's last leap into space ended ignominiously in March last year when the 70,000 pound Starchaser 3 soared just 200 feet into the air before exploding in a mass of flames after a five-second flight.
Bennett promises that Starchaser 3a, almost identical to its predecessor, will soar to 20,000 feet on her maiden flight on Friday from Morecombe Bay in northwest England.
``The trick will be to make sure that we bring the rocket down out to sea and not on the promenade at Morecambe,'' he said in a statement.
