People Behind Voyager

Even robots need people. Up through encountering Neptune in 1989 -- the prime stretch of the Voyager missions -- a total of 11,000 work-years were devoted to the Voyager project. NASA claims if they'd done this thrice over, they'd have equaled the task of building the great pyramid at Giza for King Cheops. We're kind of glad they didn't.
