Commanded by veteran spaceflyer Pamela Melroy, the seven-astronaut STS-120 crew launched aboard NASA's shuttle Discovery at 11:38 a.m. EDT (1538 GMT) from the Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral, Fla.

During the 15-day mission, the STS-120 crew performed four spacewalks to install the new Harmony connecting node, relocate and old ISS solar power segment and repair a torn solar array.
