This
image was issued as part of a treatment on the conceptual
interior of the new spaceship by British product designers, Seymourpowell.
Sir
Richard Branson and his Virgin Galactic group have placed an order for a fleet
of SpaceShipTwo vehicles to be built by Burt Rutan’s Scaled Composites team in
Mojave, California.
Early
conceptual looks at the interior of SpaceShipTwo show room for two pilots and six
passenger astronauts with ample windows to view the Earth from suborbital
heights. Artist’s rendering shows a scaled up SpaceShipOne, outfitted with
extra windows and much larger wing flaps for a “carefree reentry”.
