The
privately bankrolled Genesis-1 expandable module now in
Earth orbit is relaying a steady stream of self-images.
This
interior photo shows a portion of the
module. Visible are all manner of trinkets, cards, and other items. Those
faraway objects are a small sample of what module-maker, Bigelow Aerospace of
Las Vegas, Nevada, hopes to produce in its “Fly Your Stuff” program.
Future
Bigelow
Aerospace modules that are tossed into orbit are to be filled with personal
paraphernalia too.
According
to the private space firm, quality imagery from inside follow-on spacecraft is
in the offing. More cameras, improved main antenna signal and increased data
streams are in the works.

into orbit on July 12, 2006 atop a Dnepr rocket. The inflatable module is a
scale-sized prototype for future human habitats in Earth orbit.
