When the Moon
was eclipsed by Earth last week, John Nordlie of Bloomington, MN, got lucky
and, with skill, photographed something that almost no one else saw.
Nordlie happened to have
his digital camera
held to the eyepiece of his telescope as a plane flew in front of the Moon.
The eclipse was thrilling
for people in much of the Western Hemisphere. Those who missed it -- or those
who'd like to match Nordlie's luck -- will have another chance on Nov.
8-9 this year.
