Not everyone is enamoured by NASA and our nation's space program and this Alabama-based quintet knows it. Hailing from Muscle Shoals, not too far from Huntsville, the Truckers write amazing American roots rock songs that are lyrical snapshots of a "new South" still struggling to shrug off its antebellum past, Reaganomics and now the mixed blessing of off-shoring. Frontman Patterson Hood's voice isn't great, it's amazing; spitting invective one moment, crying out in despair the next. They are storytellers of the Johnny Cash and Waylon Jennings tradition, outlaws not impressed by nothin' fancy.
