Since 1993, these self-proclaimed purveyors of "space-age surf music" have rode a mighty wave of B-movie sound effects and jangly guitars into our pop conciousness.
Hailing from Auburn, Alabama, the band was part of the early-90s surf music revival that saw renewed interest in the music of 1960s guitar icons Dick Dale and The Ventures. Astro-Man?'s use of odd electronic instruments and sampled Cold War-era public service announcements helps to keep the group hermetically sealed in a Big Kahuna Cosmos where the waves are always tasty.
