One day oh, about 100 years ago, Rocket N. Fallerbull called his secretary into his grand penthouse office. He was standing at his large window gazing proudly at the growing and prosperous City He turned to her revealing a large bulge in his pants.
“Miss Oldenmaid,” he blustered. “I have a hard on. I cannot go to the Board Meeting looking like this!”
She sighed as she knelt before him. “This is the third time in two weeks,” she thought as she unbuttoned his fly. “I’ve got to do something.”

Obviously loath to add this skill to her already impressive array of talents, a few days later she hired the good Miss Sweetbody. Miss Sweetbody’s job title was Hard On Reduction Expert, or HORE.
The HORE position was an instant success and soon every major company had professional HOREs on staff, whose job it was to tend to the Hard On needs of the highest level company Executives. Some HOREs even dressed provocatively in order to intice Hard Ons so they would have more to do. Obviously, like every other employee, they took considerable pride in a job well done! This went on in secret for far longer than one might expect, nearly two decades.

Inevitably, scandal rocked the business world! A WIFE found out about her husband’s HORE. She, of course, told everyone else within the WIFE community. To make matters worse, at about the same time several Executives became so enamored of their HOREs that they elevated them to WIFE status! This enraged the WIFE community even further. How could any man give such lofty status to a mere employee?!?

Thus began the end. The professional acronym HORE was deliberately mis-spelled, mis-pronounced and mis-understood by the WIFE community, Divorce Lawyers, the Media and other Earthly lowlife. Proud, hard working HOREs were degraded, ridiculed and publicly scorned. Thus the word whore was born into its modern connotation.

It goes without saying that the position of HORE quickly disappeared from the workplace. Some in the WIFE community believe they were simply renamed Secretary. Although there has been some evidence to support this contention, the evidence has never been entirely conclusive.

Rumor has it that the disappearing HORE ranks in the American Workforce was in large part responsible for the Great Depression. But, as this is a 100% factual thread, we will not dwell on rumors.

One great Historian questioned the turmoil from the WIFE community of that time. Why, even a modern President clearly stated that such minimal physical contact shouldn’t even be considered sex…
