This is all great. Will love to see it, but there are a few issues I would like to see answers for.

media costs would be amortized across how ever much data you store on it. More means even an expensive card becomes cheaper per MB.

As it is you're paying $25-$30 to store one HD film, not 100, on BR and you're playing it on a Blu-Ray player that costs $180-$500 and also has moving parts and delicate optics. With an SDXC all that's necessary is a card reader and a device that can read exFAT (FAT64), and that too is coming fast. XP, Server 2003 and Win7 all can support it (XP SP2 & SP3/XP 64 bit/Server 2003 upgrade here)

Hard drives have the same weaknesses as a BR player: moving parts and sensitive to shock, much more so than a card. Time to move away from storage with moving parts.

Not to mention you won't need a major piece of furniture to hold your media collection

This is all great. Will love to see it, but there are a few issues I would like to see answers for.

1st. Will you be able to backup your content you purchase? Like storing it on your home media server? If so, will it be playable from there or will you have to plug it into a device? My TV and PS3 will already do this, but would love to see it stay on the server. Wireless 1080P is not that far off.

2nd. If you have to keep the movies on the drive are you able to re-download again if the drive fails? Much of this depends on the 1st question.

But since nobody other than myself and my wife saw it i would have to assume that it was nothing to important. It was just strange. Looked like a slow turning fan that was on fire and going in and out of the clouds.

Ok, time to forget about it again and move on. close(-)

However, it was still quite dry and there were drought like conditions at times. but overall a very nice summer. I don;t like the 2+ inches of snow outside right now though. Been a long time for that this early as well. close(-)
