Hopefully they find my emails asking that we cap off all undersea vents, volcanoes, mineral springs, geysers and other surface structures that spew gases and minerals out. Then we can prove that AGW is real.

Also...I hear the sun is a pretty darn big contributor to the problem. I think we gotta destroy it. Only way.





*Not that we should trying to limit pollution, just don't freaking lie to me. close(-)

Metullargy and Naval Architecture of the Titanics days were quite infantile. If you apply your same misguided notions to land, you might as well sweat every time you enter a high rise building.

While ships have sunk, there is nothing natural about it, its usualy human error. And unlike horrible ferries from 3rd and developing countries most nations are prepared for such instances and loss of life is small if none at all. If you look at the ferries from the Philipines and that other one that sunk in the Persian Gulf; they had added decks and overstuffed their billets with out consulting a naval architect. Those were waiting to happen.

Ships do not take nearly the ammount of money required to operate compared to planes. I have no idea where you got that extremly absurd notion. 91% of the worlds trade is done over the ocean because of this. Ships don't need to over come the whole gravity thing and get aloft, which is very inefficeint in comparison. They don't need as much space age polymers, or metals. They can burn an impressive array of fuels. I doubt any aircraft company will burn anything other than the champagne of jet fuels. And their cargo capacity is stunning...and unmachable.

Try comparing say the Emma Maersk to the Antonov An-225. And thats a containr ship....try it against the largest oil tanker Its a joke, the only things aircraft have over oceanic shipping is speed. I suppose they can also put cargo inland, but trains fix that...still more efficient than flying it.

But thats all somewhat offtopic. That cruise ships is pretty. In that picture posted though she is not carrying the full array of life boats, probably just enough for sea trials. Inside the enclosed life boats that are droped in to the ocean; their seats have harnesses sort of like an amusment park ride. close(-)

I dont know about films leading up to WWII, or non archival footage; but I believe the History Channel is begening to digitally augment WWII archival combat footage. The premier is Nov 159/8c


There's probably some congressional stipulation that the only films that can be brought in the digital age are thos involving our heros from WWII....and anything with John Wayne close(-)
