Rougail tomate. A creole peanut butter sauce (ish). A kind of chili. You need:

Tomatoes
Onion
Peanut butter, natural ... more(+)

Rougail tomate. A creole peanut butter sauce (ish). A kind of chili. You need:

Tomatoes
Onion
Peanut butter, natural flavor, preferably non-chunky (up to you though)
Combava
Hot peppers (a few different ones will work, experiment and see for yourself)
Salt

Dice the tomatoes.
Slice and dice the onions.. I personally cut them in a variety of shapes. A few rings, mostly small-medium squares, and a few arcs.
Cut the combava's shell into very small chips.
Grind the hot peppers, or leave them whole, but have at least 1/3 of them ground.
Mix it all till homogeneous. Salt (or salt the tomatoes separately beforehand).

I don't know the exact proportions anymore. It's not too hard to find them by taste - play the different ingredients against each other till they all kind of resonate with each other. You don't need much combava at all - it's bitterness easily takes too much "space" in the overall taste. The choice of peppers is pretty important. Onions are mostly to give structure, but I think I once tried some special onion that actually did play a significant and positive part in the recipe's taste. close(-)
